IMPORTING BAUHAUS

From my exhibition at ArtsWestchester, NY in 2025

This series seeks to reveal the shared DNA between Bauhaus and Brutalist architecture in the American Northeast. While disparate at first glance—Bauhaus emphasizing lightness and transparency, Brutalism bold concrete masses—both movements share fundamental principles: adherence to strict geometric shapes, truth to materials, and the celebration of function as form.

Large-format Giclée prints on 305 gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth Archival paper.

To allow the architectural geometry to breathe, each work features an integrated 3-inch white border (acting as a structural mat) and is housed in a white wood gallery frame.
