Before and After Retouching: 02 Architectural Photography

Not every image can be created in camera. Things we might not perceive as distracting when we walk by a structure become blatantly obvious in a frozen in time, two dimensional, image. A good example for those distractions are power lines (my favorite), parked cars, trash cans, and street signs. Here is a before and after retouching example of the Charles Department store in Katonah, NY. Photoshop and multiple exposures (to remove the car) to the rescue.

Move the slider to see the original, single exposure, image and the final multi exposure, retouched, version.

This image was photographed for a story about the Best Places to live in Westchester, NY.
