BOUTIQUE HOTEL Photography: VIEQUES, PUERTO RICO
Esperanza, Vieques, PR
Hotel photography is more than just documenting a space—it’s about telling a story that captures the essence of the guest experience. Specializing in boutique and luxury hotels, I take a deep, immersive approach to each project, ensuring that every image reflects the unique atmosphere and design of the property.
Immersing in the Hotel Experience
To truly capture the soul of a hotel, I spend one to two days on-site before even picking up my camera. Experiencing the space firsthand allows me to understand its ambiance, how natural light moves throughout the day, and which details make the property stand out. This level of immersion ensures that my images don’t just showcase a room or a lobby—they convey the feeling of being there.
The Art of Hotel Photography
A significant portion of my work focuses on interior design photography, emphasizing architectural details, decor, and lighting. Unlike other commercial spaces, hotels often have carefully curated interiors designed to create a specific mood, which I aim to highlight in every frame.
Hero Shots & Aerial Views
Hotels rely on high-impact imagery to attract guests. Hero shots—images that define the property—often include grand entrance views, signature suites, spa facilities, and pools. To provide a complete visual narrative, I also incorporate drone photography were necessary, offering breathtaking aerial perspectives that showcase the hotel’s location and surroundings.
Great hotel photography isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about capturing the experience. Through my architectural, interior, and lifestyle imagery, I help luxury and boutique hotels bring their brand vision to life.
Below are some images from a boutique hotel photography assignment for Malecon House on Vieques, Puerto Rico. Over several days we created images for web, publicity, social, and advertising. We also assisted in creating their website and managing their social accounts.
