Architectural Photography - Before and After Retouching: 04

Most finished images of my architectural and interior design photography are composites of several exposures to improve the dynamic range and contrast. The exterior retail photograph below of the California Closets flagship store in New York City is a rare example of an image based on a single exposure. Move the slider to see the image straight out of the camera and after retouching.

The most time-consuming part was the pen-tooling of the California Closets logos on the windows. They are white in reality, but in the unretouched photograph, they appear to be black and are not legible since they are lighted from behind.
